Abdoulie Sanneh is new forestry director

A confirmed report reaching this paper has revealed that Abdoulie Sanneh, the Regional Forestry Officer for Western Region, was appointed the new Director of Forestry.

Sanneh 50 replaces Jatto Sillah, who is now the Minister of Forestry and Environment.

Confirming the story to our reporter, Sanneh said his appointment took effect on 1st November 2009.

Born on 18th February 1960 in Wassadu of Foni Jarrol in Western Region, Sanneh was first employed at the Department of Forestry in 1979 as a Forest Guard Trainee attached to the Inspectorate Unit in Upper River Region. Since then he had served in various positions within the department.
