7 Teams Line Up In Fitness Tourney

Seven teams, namely Rangers FC, Cambel Town FC, Churchills Town FC, Canon FC, Gamma Link FC, Leeds FC and SV Larr FC, are taking part in a fitness tourney at Serrekunda East. The tourney is being organised by the Programme Officer of the Serrekunda East Sports Organisation, Mr. Mustapha Drammeh, aimed at keeping Serrekunda East Nawettan zone players fit before Nawettan resume after Ramadan.

In the opening match of the tourney, Rangers FC thrashed Churchill's FC 2-0 at Serrekunda Lower Basic School playing grounds on Wednesday 2nd September 2009 at 3pm. Rangers FC's goals were scored by Lamin Sanyang and Modou Lamin Drammeh in the 2nd and 38th minute of play, respectively.

On the same day, Gamma Link FC drew 1-1 with Canon FC in the evening encounter. Gamma Link FC's goal was registered by Modou Manneh in the 49th minute of play, while Canon FC's goal was scored by Saikou Jarju, alias Drogba in the 38th minute of play.
