30 CRR, URR and NBR farmers trained on Beekeeping

Thirty farmers from the Central, North Bank and Upper River Regions have been trained on Beekeeping, organised by CRR forestry office at Jangjanbureh.    

Speaking at the training, coordinator of Action Against Desertification Abdoulie Danso highlighted the importance of the training, saying it will go a long way in contributing to poverty reduction, hunger and climate change. “It will also enhance the capacity of the participants in understanding how to keep bees.”

Malang Jatta, focal person of Action Against Desertification appealed to the participants to save the bush and to maintain the project.                 

Jalika Ceesay from Bush Town in Central River Region Sami district, Mawdo Kaly Ceesay from Karantaba Dutokoto, Degumeh Drammeh from Daraman in URR Wuli West and Man Jarra Secka from Touba Kolong in Upper Niumi all comment on the importance of the training.

They also thanked the regional forestry department for organizing the training, assuring them that they will ensure the sustainability of the project.
