2nd Division league heats up

Sporting Real Tuesday maintained their lead in the ongoing Gambia Football Federation (GFF) second division league after their slender 4-3 win over Jambanjelly United at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The Real De Banjul feeder team have now secured 30 points after fourteen league matches and Jambanjelly United with 14 points in fourteen league matches. Waa Banjul defeated Gunjur United 2-1 at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium to keep second-spot in the second tier standings.

Gunjur finished the match with ten men after winger Bubacarr Demba alias Ozil was sent off in the second half. Waa Banjul gripped 29 points in fourteen league matches and Gunjur United with 25 points after fourteen league outings.

Immigration beat Team Rihno 1-0 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau to recover in the league after losing two matches in a row. They snatched 21 points after fourteen league matches and Immigration with 18 points in fourteen league outings.
