A young Gambian woman, who is married to a Dutch national, is in tears and pleading with President Jammeh to help her retrieve two vehicles.

Sohna Sarr was sent two Hyndai H100 cars by her husband Sandar Ferdinand but has still not received them owing to a number of factors. The case was before the courts in The Gambia last year and since that time one of the vehicles has been sitting in the grounds of the Banjul Magistrates' Court.

Sohna Sarr, who is a suckling mother, said, "I am appealing to President Jammeh to intervene and help us. I am very worried that the engine of the vehicle at the Banjul Magistrates' Court will cease to function if it remains there much longer. I am a suckling mother and I am not working."

For his part, her husband Sandar Ferdinand said, "I have spent a lot of money from when I first sent the vehicles until now. I am frustrated. The cars would have helped us a lot as we were trying to start a business. We need help as leaving my family with nothing is very difficult for me."
