2 senior gov’t officers removed

According to official sources, two senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad have their contracts terminated, although no official reason was advanced to this paper.

The duo are: Njogou Saer Bah, permanent secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Omar Gibril Sallah Gambia ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

Mr. was seasoned diplomat and a bilingual in English and French. He had served as Gambia’s ambassador to Senegal and France before becoming permanent secretary at the said ministry.

The ministry was contacted to shed light on the matter but to no avail. The PMO who was said to have written the termination letters were also unreachable at the time of going to the press.
