2 senior customs anchor officers promoted

Confirmed sources have disclosed that two senior customs anchor officers, Joseph Njie and Alhagi K. Mbye have been promoted to the ranks of Commissioner of Customs and Deputy Commissioner of Customs technical Support and monitoring at The Gambia Revenue Authority.

Joseph Njie has been promoted from deputy commissioner of customs to commissioner of customs replacing Alieu Ceesay, who proceeded on retirement while Alhagi K. Mbye, who was earlier the Customs Manager at Seaport operation is now promoted to the rank of deputy commissioner of customs technical support and monitoring.

They both confirmed their appointments and thanked the GRA management and the government through the ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs.

“We have no doubt about the cooperation and team work that GRA staff are known for. We will live up to expectation in providing the much needed services for our national development through GRA,” one of the promoted officers said.
