total of nineteen middle staff of Social Security and Housing Finance
Corporation (SSHFC) have been trained on report writing and presentation skills
last week, at the Management Development Institute (MDI) in Kanifing.
Funded by the Corporation itself, the training targets to develop the capacity of participants and to equip them with required skills needed in writing effective reports and to improve their presentation skills.
Director General of MDI, Alieu Jarju said capacity building is a strategic need to make work easy, create awareness and to do things perfect. He said it also enable leaders to develop competencies and skills that can make them more effective and sustainable, which increase their potentials in various work.
Managing Director of SSHFC, Muhammed Manjang said capacity building is part of developing good skills and making sure that works are done well. He said maintaining a well-trained and well-qualified workforce is a critical function of both individual managers and public agencies. “Stakeholders should work and come together collectively and push for a better achievement,” he said.
Minister of Information and Communication Infrastructure Ebrima Sillah said the government is ensuring that the implementation of human capacity development is well established as targeted in the National Development Plan of 2019-2021.
Mr. Sillah emphasised that no office would function well if the management’s information processes is not well thought through and do not reflect on its strategic orientation that it wants to implement.
