Family of a sixteen-year-old boy, Barham Bittaye from Sanchaba Sulay Jobe in Kombo North said their loved one is seriously sick and was diagnosed with a heart disease from Serrekunda General Hospital but is now looking for assistance for urgent treatment in Senegal or overseas.

Medical report obtained from the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) in Banjul signed by Dr. Thierno Diallo indicates that Barham is diagnosed with interventricullar communication (membranous septum), and suspicion of patent ductus arteriousus.

Barham’s grandmother, Aminata Joof, said he dropped out of school due to his health condition; calling the boy a pious Muslim regardless of his age and very dedicated and active. She said Barham enjoyed little or less from childhood like any other healthy child; saying the boy always complains of endless pain which, she said bleeds her heart.

With tears rolling down her cheeks, Aminata told The Point that they are all looking for any gesture to assist the urgent health condition of the young Barham who has been out of school for the past two years because of his heart condition.

For any assistance in cash or kind to help the child live healthy please contact Barham’ s family on 9991282/ 7867104/ 7844141
