twelve years young girl, Hafsatou Jallow from Brikama, who is currently
undergoing kidney dysfunction diagnoses at the Edward Francis Small Teaching
Hospital in Banjul, is seeking for assistance for overseas kidney transplant
Parents of Hafsatou, who has been diagnosed with kidney disease for over two years now said their daughter’s sickness is getting worse every day and they are appealing to the government, philanthropic organisations and individuals to assist her to travel overseas for treatment.
They said they are also desperately looking for a kidney donor for their daughter, fearing that Hafsatou’s current health condition could turn worse if support is not provided.
They said disease have been confirmed by several Doctors who also recommended that she should undergo dialyses machine treatment for 6 months and if the kidneys fail to function, the young girl will have to spend her entire life taking treatment through dialyses machine. She currently reports to the hospital thrice a week.
